Overview

If you're familiar with our Solar Bug 2.0 Kit then you'll recognize this project. By popular request we've made a reptile and amphibian version of the kit. The kits come with 8 different critters (four cards, and a design on each side) to choose from. For our Classroom Set you can also add in additional critter templates (so everyone in the class has the exact same thing).

Create a solar powered critter that moves with this fun filled STEM project!

Learn about solar energy by creating a simple solar circuit in minutes using only conductive tape! Cut out your critter template, decorate it, then add your solar cell and vibrating motor! All parts are connected with our special Maker Tape conductive tape, perfect for younger students. Once built these critters will move around in the sun, and best of all they'll never run out of power!

The Standard Kit comes with supplies for four full critter, as well as 8 different card stock animal templates to choose from.  Scissors and coloring supplies not included.

The Classroom Set comes with supplies for 25 individual critters. We have several options for the types of critter cards you'll receive. We have a multi-pack that contains a mixture of all four card types. We also have individual card sets; Salamander and Crocodile Set, the Painted Turtle and Sea Turtle Set, the Horned Lizard and Armadillo Set, and the Bullfrog and Tree Frog set. Each set contains 25 of that type of card. Only available for the Classroom Set.

Warning: Kit includes small parts. These are a choking hazard. Not intended for children under the age of 10.
